What happens to all my garbage?

Have you ever wondered what happens to all our garbage?

Once the sanitation workers load all my trash into the truck, I tend to forget about it.  However, that is far from the end of the story.

Elizabeth Royte decided to find the answer to this question.  She spent years researching, talking to sanitation workers, environmental protection groups, government officials, and average citizens.

In her book Garbage Land, Elizabeth Royte gives a detailed explanation of what happens to our garbage.  She also discusses what early Americans did with their garbage and what may become of garbage in the future.

There is also a section on recycling.  She discusses public perceptions, the benefits of recycling, and the negative consequences that can be caused by recycling.

I enjoyed reading this book and give it an A+
