Trade-Fair Marketplace

I went to the Trade-Fair Marketplace in Huntsville, Alabama.  I heard about the store, but this was my first visit.

The store is staffed by volunteers and it is a nonprofit shop.  They purchase items from third world countries to sell in the store.  It is part of a global movement to fairly compensate workers in all regions of the world.  The organization gives people an opportunity to work, support their families, and educate their children.

Items found in the Trade-Fair Marketplace include:

  • Higher Grounds Coffee
  • Divine Chocolates
  • Women’s Bean Project Products
  • Handcrafted Baskets
  • Jewelry
  • Women’s Accessories
  • Children’s Toys
  • Christmas Ornaments
  • Pottery and Porcelain
  • Home Decorating Items

This is a really cool shop and I like that is environmentally and socially conscious.
