Distorted Thinking – Black or White

Black or white thinking is a form of distorted thinking.

When we view situations, people, or ourselves as entirely bad or entirely good (nothing in between), we are using black or white thinking.

For Example:

If someone does poorly on a work or school assignment, they might think of themselves as stupid, incompetent, or a failure.  They refuse to consider past success and achievements.
