Lost in Birmingham and Feeling Foolish

Gwen and I went to Birmingham on Monday.  We were ready to go home, but got confused as to which parking garage we had used.  We ended up going to the wrong one and spent the next hour trying to find our way back to the Jeep.

Gwen found a UAB employee and asked her to help us.  I told the lady, “I think we parked in the 7th Av garage, but I am not sure.”  She asked me if I had my parking ticket.  That’s when it dawned on me.  The garage name is on the parking ticket, which has been in my bag the whole time.

I wonder about myself sometimes.

While we were wandering around lost, I noticed some interesting looking statues and decided to take a few photos.  I guess it wasn’t a total waste of time.

  1. Happy you managed to not lose your parking ticket….that would have been too much! It’s OK to admit you couldn’t find your way back to the parking lot…I had a medical appt yesterday. Parked my car and lef my husband in it…then found the pharmacy in the building was totally across the other side of the hospital…I took elevator up 5 floors, got off and found my way fine:) Coming back tho…that was a whole new challenge…thank goodness I always find something to remind me exactly where I am parked….otherwise I would still be wandered no the hospital corridors or be up on the roof!
