Migraine Update

Over the past few months, I have suffered from additional migraines.  However, none of them were severe enough to send me back to the hospital.  For that, I am extremely grateful.

I started studying about migraines, so I can hopefully prevent future attacks.  I learned migraines can be triggered by: stress, alcohol, weather changes, artificial sweeteners, salty foods, lack of sleep, dehydration, and food additives.

I also learned a healthy diet, exercise, and maintaining a healthy weight can help reduce migraine attacks.

I plan to make some serious life changes this year, because living with migraines is pure hell.

  1. I’ve had migraines all my life, proper 3 day jobs that leave me exhausted and usually made me sick. Giving up work helped enormously, I suppose that’s a stress element. Tiredness played a part, some alcohol/wine ( I think it’s an additive they use in some more than others), KFC never failed, getting over hungry or thirsty. And there is nothing you can take that really helps. For me stress and tiredness from my job was a huge start, after that any little thing seemed to start it off. Take care because one of my migraines turned out to be a stroke.

  2. I had a daily migraine for 20 years until I determined the causes. Mine were from Lyme and CO’s and CIRS. Migraines suck but you can get rid of them. Best wishes on everyone’s healing journey.
