My First Email

In the mid 1990’s, I got my first email account.

At that time, email was a new and unique way to communicate.  I was excited about having the account.

My brother also had an email account, so he sent me an email to see if it would work.

I thought it was hilarious and it still makes me laugh.

  1. That is about when I got mine. I couldn’t even turn it on, but had given the address to a friend. Months later I received a letter with a print-out of an e-mail he had sent me, addressed to “Dear Derrick, or any passing four year old”

  2. There were some amusing emails around back then. I suppose they got replaced with handy gifs and ‘forwarded’ funnies.
Thanks for following my blog, which is appreciated.
    Best wishes, Pete.
