Looking for Bears

Last week I went to visit Aunt Kathy in Mobile, Alabama.  She has about 40 acres of land located on a dirt road.

To get to her house, I had to drive through a big mud puddle.  I actually went through the puddle four times.  Mom was not happy, but I thought it was a ton of fun.

The water splashed onto the engine of my Jeep and it started to steam.  Mom was freaking out and thought the engine was smoking.  I tried to calm her down and explain the temperature gauge was in the normal range and it was just steam.  She didn’t believe me and was reluctant to stay in the vehicle.

Eventually, we made it to Kathy’s house.  There are bears living on her property, so I went exploring the woods hoping to get a picture of one of the bears.

Unfortunately, the only animal I found was a turtle.  I ended up getting covered in mud when I took its picture.  When I made it back to the house I was covered in dirt, mud, and sweat.  I smelled horrible, but I had planned for this and had an extra set of clothes that I could put on after taking a shower.

I really enjoy exploring Kathy’s property and maybe one day I will find those bears.
