High Class Redneck

I consider myself to be a modern-day high-class redneck.

  1. My ancestors were coal miners and moonshiners.
  2. I’m pretty honkey looking .
  3. I have a lot of tattoos.
  4. I listen to country music.
  5. I love hanging out in the woods.
  6. I drive a Jeep.
  7. I live in a small rural community in Alabama.
  8. I have five dogs.
  9. I’m not scared of snakes, rodents, or tornados.
  10. I have a “farmers tan,” which means my arms and neck are tan, but the rest of me is pasty white.
  11. I was born in Texas.
  12. I come home from work covered in sweat, dirt, and mud.
  13. I basically wear jeans and t-shirts all the time.
  14. The only shoes I own are boots and sneakers.

In spite of all those things, I also have a Ph.D., and I have traveled all over the world.  That’s why I call myself a modern day high-class redneck.
