I took Gwen to the rodeo in Ardmore, Tennessee. The clown was hilarious and all the participants did a great job. It was a fun evening for both of us.
Yesterday was Thank a Mail Carrier day, which got me thinking about this mailbox in Limestone County, Alabama.
It’s a propane tank that was converted into a mailbox and it is a shining example of redneck ingenuity. I laugh every time I see it, but I have to admit it is functional and durable.
I spotted this car in Ardmore, Alabama.
I’m confused by the paint job. I am not sure what kind of statement they were trying to make.
I’ve lived in Alabama for over 20 years and I never attended a truck and tractor pull event, so I decided to remedy that situation last night.
At first it was interesting, but after two and half hours I was getting really bored. I started walking around the grounds and ended up leaving the event early.
Also, I had no idea how much exhaust was released into the atmosphere during one of these events. This is defiantly not a green energy sport.
Mildred’s restaurant is located on HWY 53 in Ardmore, Alabama. It’s a small country restaurant with a buffet and the wait staff are always friendly. I love this place, because they have the best fried green tomatoes that I have ever tasted.
I give Mildred’s Restaurant an A+
