Every year, the Huntsville Botanical Gardens has a scarecrow exhibit. The scarecrows are created by various companies, non-profit organizations, and individuals. Each one is unique, which makes the exhibit fun and entertaining.
I downloaded the Pokemon Go game, because I was curious about it. I have seen the negative press, but I think it is a cool game.
- It is fun to play, which is important.
- It helps to get people out of their house and get them exploring the world around them.
- It is a game the whole family can enjoy together, so it promotes family bonding.
Have you tried playing the game? What do you think about it?
We went to see a play (Marry Poppins) this afternoon. It was presented by Independent Musical Productions.
The production was astoundingly good. The actors were perfect and their dancing skills left me speechless. The play more than exceeded all my expectations.
I’ve lived in Alabama for over 20 years and I never attended a truck and tractor pull event, so I decided to remedy that situation last night.
At first it was interesting, but after two and half hours I was getting really bored. I started walking around the grounds and ended up leaving the event early.
Also, I had no idea how much exhaust was released into the atmosphere during one of these events. This is defiantly not a green energy sport.
We went to the movie theater to see Angry Birds in 3D today, but a really strange thing happened. We were the only ones in the theater. We had our own private viewing and it was really fun.
When I was a kid, we had Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back on VHS tapes. Aaron and I loved those movies and watched them for what seemed like a million times. We would watch one of them, rewind the tape, and then watch it again.
In 1983, Return of the Jedi was released in movie theaters all around the world. When the movie came out, we were living in Mannheim, Germany. I remember how excited we were to see Return of the Jedi.
We got to the theater early to make sure we could get a ticket. Once we made it into the building, we bought large cokes, boxes of popcorn, and various other snack items. We were gorging on junk food while we waited for the movie to start.
We also spent the time talking about Han Solo’s capture and hoping he would be saved by Luke Skywalker. The anticipation was building inside us, until we thought we would explode. We just had to know what was going to happen to our hero.
After the movie, Aaron and I both agreed we should come back the next day and watch it again.
Happy Star Wars Day my friends and May the 4th be with you.
I attended a murder mystery dinner tonight. I have never been to an event like this before, so I was not sure what to expect.
The food was great, the actors did a wonderful job, the storyline was complex, and the mystery was difficult to solve.
Unfortunately, my table was unable to solve the mystery. Even though I didn’t win a prize, I still had a blast.
