We’re not that different, you and me. We all feel joy and sorrow. We all feel pain and fear. We all laugh and smile. We all bleed red.
You are stronger than you think, because you are a human being.
Mankind has overcome natural disasters, wars, tyranny, atrocities done by our own kind, and a massive list of other obstacles or difficulties. However, the human spirit refused to surrender. Humans continue surviving, regardless of the circumstances.
Don’t underestimate yourself or your power as a human being. You are stronger than you think.
There is something about certain people that I find creepy, but I can’t pinpoint why.
They might be dressed well, behave politely, and look normal. However, my gut reaction is one of repulsion. It’s as if I see something else inside of them. Maybe they are hiding something from the world, and I am the only one that can see through the veil.
There is something about certain people that make me feel uneasy, and I don’t know why.
Is peace possible?
According to Webster’s Dictionary, peace is defined as a “state of tranquility or quite; freedom from civil disturbance.”
Humans are social beings with a natural desire to connect, to be a part of a group. We also seem to have a natural tendency to fear groups that are different and to look down upon other groups.
Peace isn’t easy. Peace takes work. We have to look deep into ourselves and confront our own demons, before we can be peacemakers. To actually have peace in this world, we all must be willing to go through that uncomfortable process.
I fear this world will never be at peace, because there will always be those who are unwilling to work for peace.
What are your thoughts on the possibility of peace?
I had the opportunity to talk to a Girl Scout group today. I took Blue with me, so I can tell them about service dogs, dog training, and I wanted to explain the differences between how humans and dogs process smells.
I believe the girls are in Kindergraden and 1st grade, so they are really young. I thought I had it under control, but I am afraid I overestimated my ability to communicate with such a young crowd.
At times, the poor kids looked a bit confused. However, I think they enjoyed the presentation or at least they enjoyed watching Blue. I hope they learned something from it and if so I will call it a success.
Now that I sit here thinking about it and how I struggled, I have a greater respect for the adults that volunteer to work with young children.
I loved this book. The story is about an alien race of parasite like creatures that come to Earth and take over the bodies of humans.
The book was riveting. I also like how the human and alien dynamic questioned what makes a life form valuable.
I give this book an A+
According to X-Files (which is obviously a reputable source for paranormal/scientific information), secret experiments were conducted on pregnant women in 1973, at Roswell, New Mexico.
These women were infected with an alien virus, without their knowledge. The purpose of the experiment was to create human/alien hybrids.
My mom was pregnant with me in 1973, and she lived in El Paso, Texas. However, she did go to Roswell to watch football games. She could have been infected with the alien virus at that time.
The obvious conclusion: I am a human/alien hybrid. That explains why I am so awesome.
