I always write with blue ink pens. I think the blue ink stand out more, because most notebooks have black lines. I like how the blue pops out on the page. Also, blue happens to be my favorite color.
It may seem trivial or weird, but I have a strong preference for blue ink pens. Does anyone else feel the same way about their ink color, or is it just me?
Every time I use my quill pen, I end up with ink on my fingertips. I decided to try Goof Off, which is supposed to be a “heavy duty hand cleaner.” According to the back of the bottle, it can get all sorts of stuff off your hands (grease, paint, and it specifically mentions ink) in just one washing.
However, this stuff doesn’t work at all. It was no better than using ordinary soap and is a complete waste of money.
Goof Off is a rip-off.
Last month, Mom gave me a quill feather pen for my birthday. I tend to get ink blots all over the paper. Also, my hand ends up being covered in ink. However, it is a ton of fun.
Here are a few samples:
I went to Staples today, because I am thinking about buying a new printer. I found a basic printer (HP brand) for $33.99 and I was impressed by the low cost. The printer comes with everything you need, including a set of ink cartridges.
I was about ready to buy the printer and decided to find out how much it will cost to buy replacement ink cartages. It cost $51.99 to buy a set of cartridges for the printer.
That just boggles my mind. It would be cheaper to replace the printer whenever it runs out of ink than to buy new ink.
Maybe I will just buy 10 printers and be done with it.
