Astronauts spend large amounts of time in space. I wonder what they do for fun. I would recommend floating flag football.
I can see it now. An astronaut is sailing toward the guy with the ball, but just before he grabs the flag the guy with the ball starts spinning and rolls out of the way.
This not only sounds like a fun game to play, it also sounds like a fun game to watch. NASA could use floating flag football to teach people about the space program and capture the interest of children all over the world.
The US Space and Rocket Center is located in Huntsville, Alabama. Their museum is a fun place to visit and they have rotating exhibits to keep the locals interested. They also have an IMAX theater and a National Geographic theater. If you are ever in the Huntsville area, you should defiantly visit the Space and Rocket Center.

Google Fiber is coming to Huntsville, Alabama.
I was excited to hear the news, but I must admit I was also a bit surprised. Huntsville is not a major city; however, it will be one of the first places to receive the new ultra fast internet service.
According to Jill Szuchmacher, director of expansion for Google Fiber, Huntsville was chosen for three reasons:
- It has the highest per-capita concentration of engineers in the United States.
- It is third in the nation for science and technology careers.
- The leadership in Huntsville has a clear vision for the importance of broadband internet and is willing to work with Google to make the project a success. (www.al.com)
I am excited about getting ultra fast internet and I am proud to call Huntsville (a.k.a. The Rocket City) home.
