This is an okay book. The advice is simplistic and some sections could use more detail on how to apply the information.
Here are a few examples:
- Talk less and observe more
- Prepare for life
- Ask for help
- Kindness goes a long way
- Love yourself
- Be flexible
The zombie apocalypse starts when a new lethal injection drug is given to an inmate. The inmate dies, but quickly turns into a reanimated corpse and goes on a killing spree. The guards, witnesses, and the warden become his first victims and also turn into zombies.
The story is enjoyable and the characters are entertaining. My only complaint is the abrupt ending. It leaves the reader with a lot of unanswered questions.
The main character is a former social worker, turned private investigator. She became disillusioned with the criminal justice system, so she stated killing murders, kidnappers, and child molesters that were able to avoid prison.
The story is full of mystery and plot twist that will keep you guessing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it.
Victoria, the main character of the book, suffers with PTSD from an auto accident that took the life of young girl named Anna. Victoria must learn to forgive herself and find a way to live in the world.
The story is interesting, but some of the scenarios drag on for way to long and makes the book seem a bit boring. Also, some of the characters lack depth. They are extremely one sided and it felt unnatural.
I did not love or hate the book. I just thought it was okay.
I just finished reading The Aliomenti Saga and it was excellent.
The Aliomenti is an organization with advanced technology and abilities. Their goal is to control the world, keep regular humans subservient, and to live a life of luxury.
However, some of the members disagree with those principles and start a splinter group called the Alliance. Their goal is to reform the original organization and help all of human kind reach their full potential. Unfortunately, the group members are viewed as traitors and are in danger of being executed by the Aliomenti.
The story is full of interesting twist and turns. The characters are well developed and complex. The ending was a pleasant surprise that kept me contemplating the whole thing for several days.
I truly enjoyed reading this series and I recommend it.
I watched the first season of Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix and loved the show.
The main character is a wife and mother that somehow manages to become a zombie or as they say in the show “undead.” This causes a great deal of stress on the family and leads to some rather humorous situations.
The one thing I really liked about the show, is how the family stuck together no matter what happened. They supported each other and refused to allow a little thing (like a zombie in the house) destroy their family unit. I really like that concept.
This book is part of the Monster Hunters series by Douglas Tanner, which is aimed at adolescents and young adults. I decided to read it, because 44 is young. Right?
Anyway, it was an interesting book.
The main character, Alec, discovers his dad works for a top secret government agency in charge of tracking and dealing with monsters, when a family vacation inadvertently turns into a hunt for Bigfoot.
The book is well written and full of twist and turns that will keep the reader’s attention. If you are young or youngish, I would recommend this book.
