I got my first cassette player when I was about 8 years old, and someone gave me a tape with “Somebody’s Knocking” by Terry Gibbs. It was the only cassette I had, so I would play that song, rewind the tape, and play it again.
The song isn’t considered a classic or anything like that, but it will always have a special place in my heart. It brings back so many memories and makes me feel like a kid again.
This is my favorite hymn, because it speaks to my heart on a very deep level.
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. – Bob Marley
Music, at its essence, is what gives us memories. And the longer a song has existed in our lives, the more memories we have of it. – Stevie Wonder
Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. – Ludwig Von Beethoven
I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music. – Billy Joel
I enjoy the modern praise songs we sing at church. However, I also appreciate many of the older hymns. My favorite is “It is Well With My Soul.”
Back in the day, I was a huge Twisted Sister fan and I Wanna Rock was my favorite song.
This song has great meaning to me and I find it inspirational. First, it reminds me to remember what’s important in my life. Second, it makes me think about all the hardships, obstacles, and even the horrible experiences that almost destroyed me in the past.
I am still here. I am an overcomer, so I know I can handle whatever life throws my way. I look at the newest obstacles in my life, think about what I already conquered, and say to myself, “This ain’t nothing.”
