This title of this book (Appreciating Nature’s Small Stuff) explains the purpose and main point of the book. According to the author,
The best thing about everyday wildlife is the unexpected. It’s pretty neat to get so buzzed about nature’s little wonders and gems. It is life affirming and good for the soul; reaching out and connecting with nature with enthusiasm, from that deep place inside you that is the same deep place in nature.
I really enjoyed reading this book and it help me gain a better appreciation for the little things in nature that surround me.
What happens to a person when their soul dies, but their body remains alive?
Memories of goodness remain, but evil resides inside their heart.
Can they follow that memory and live a good life?
Can they hide the darkness from the world?
Are they doomed to follow that darkness?
Is there any hope for someone when their soul dies, but their body is alive?
I was laying in the hammock and looking at the blue sky above me. A few white clouds slowly passed over head. Bees and butterflies were flittering around the yard. Birds were in a tree nearby and signing a beautiful song. The warmth of the sun radiated against my skin.
Everything seemed so peaceful and it bore down to my soul. I felt tranquility flowing throughout my entire body. I wondered to myself, why I rarely spend time in the hammock.
This is something I can and should enjoy more often in my life. In fact, I think we all could benefit from having such a place in our lives.
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. – Bob Marley
Music, at its essence, is what gives us memories. And the longer a song has existed in our lives, the more memories we have of it. – Stevie Wonder
Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. – Ludwig Von Beethoven
I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music. – Billy Joel
The book Start Where You Are is filled with journaling prompts and quotes to help motivate as well as inspire the reader.
My favorite quotes found in the book:

Live in the sunshine. Swim in the sea. Drink in the wild air. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
Fears are paper tigers. (Amelia Earhart)
It is never too late to be what you might have been. (George Eliot)
Dismiss whatever insults your own soul. (Walt Whitman)
To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist that is all. (Oscar Wilde)
Hope is the expectation for something better in the future. Hope is what keeps us moving forward when times are bad. Hope will allow us to overcome what seems impossible and defeat what appears to be insurmountable obstacles.
It only takes a small flicker of hope to shine in the dark abyss and the human soul will use that hope to continue the fight.
I found this book at the Dollar General and decided to give it a try. I have to say, I am glad I did.
The book is about a demonic being named Azrael. He makes a deal with a girl named Sarah Trevelyan. As a result of the deal, the girl is able to regain all the power and wealth of her family that was lost by her grandfather and is granted 100 years of life, so she can make amends for the evil deeds of her ancestors. In exchange Sarah agrees to give Azrael her soul.
As her time is running out, Sarah teams with another supernatural being bent on destroying Azrael and a teenage boy that has befriended her. She fights to save her soul and put an end to Azrael’s ability to take souls from mortal beings.
I thought the book was very interesting and I give it an A-
