After Honduras, we went to Belize. I spent the morning at Starfish Island and yes I did see starfish.
This was my first experience with starfish, so of course I had to touch them. I was surprised they didn’t react at all. They just laid there doing their starfish stuff.
The afternoon was spent wondering around Belize City, which is the capital of Belize.
Malia and I boarded Carnival Elation around 11:00 on Thursday Morning. The ship was bigger and better than I could have ever imagined.
There were so many things to do on board: swimming, hanging out in the hot tubs, playing mini golf, attending one of the numerous shows, viewing the art gallery, playing the scheduled trivia games or contest, watching other boats near the shores or out in the ocean, sitting on the deck to enjoy the ocean view, gambling at the ship’s casino, and of course there was tons of delicious food to eat.
The staff was friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed how our cleaning staff always created animals out of the towels they left in our room. It was absolutely adorable.
Just being on the cruise ship was an amazing experience that I will never forget.
Cook’s Pest Control came today to spray the yard for fleas and ticks. We don’t have any, but with five dogs it’s important to be proactive. The dogs had to stay out of the yard for a couple of hours, so I decided to take them on a field trip.
First, we did the drive-thru at the bank. I deposited my check, and the teller sent out five biscuits for the boys. I called each boy by name and handed them their treat. They all did an excellent job. They waited calmly for their turn and didn’t try to take a treat from another dog. The teller was very impressed and said, “Your dogs are awesome.”
Next, I took the boys into the woods. They had a wonderful time running around and swimming. Ben tried to catch some of the fish, but wasn’t successful. It was fun watching him try and it made me laugh.
Finally, it was time to go home. The boys had a great time and they are all exhausted. I ended up spending the afternoon cleaning the Jeep, because it was covered in mud.
